Affirmation

Affirmation form a biblical world view.
Yes, God is love, but must He affirm what I believe is truth?

The LORD tells Isaiah exactly what he wants him to be thinking.

Mark 9:2-7
Transfiguration, “This is my Son whom I love, listen to Him.”
See Deuteronomy 18:14-15 “you must listen to Him”
So what is Jesus saying that we should be listened to?

Mark 8: 27-30
"Yes I am the Christ" (vs 31) and "the Son of man must suffer many things... be rejected (by religious people of their time) and be killed ... then be raised from the dead".
Vs 34; "f anyone will come after me, deny themselves, pick up their cross and follow me..." They needed to follow what they did not understand and could not figure out. They needed to identify with Christ - and - In order to save their life they must lose it ...

Isaiah 8:19
Read what happens if they were to link themselves to those people and what would happen if they did not... the prophesy of the Messiah to come. The Lord Almighty will accomplish this..

Notice, God had a plan the whole time...

True affirmation therefore, is only through God and the gift of His Son.
